Since graduating from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio in 1995, author and Texas board-certified estate planning and probate attorney, Joseph Michael Dickerson has always liked to build things, rather than breaking things apart. With more than 24 years of experience as an attorney who focuses on helping people resolve problems and plan for the future, Mike, as he is known to his friends, has had a great opportunity to be of service to many; not only on a professional level, but at the community level as well.

During the day, the author of The 3 Bucket Method for Asset Protection and The Road Map to Rich, A Lawyer’s Perspective on Getting and Staying Rich, spends the majority of his time running his practice and guiding his law firm staff. He has taken the tools from his professional “coaches” and sharpened his skills to be an entrepreneurial attorney. By treating his law practice like a business, with weekly measurements, goals and accountability, he realized record growth in his law practice in 2019.

His professional success, however, has not slowed down his service ambitions. For the majority of his career as a solo-attorney, Mike has also continuously served the community through Boy Scouts of America and Rotary International. Each of which, he has served at both the local and regional levels and has received several prestigious awards for his service to both organizations.

It is Mike’s passion and his love for his community that helps form his vision for a profitable practice and financial freedom
